PRESS RELEASE
New novel follows Micky, the ‘Doom Squad,’ and the Apache Nation as they face the meanest hombre west of the Rio Grande.
Jim Malloy releases the latest volume in the ‘Doom Squad’ series
SAN DIEGO – The adventures of Sgt. Jack Delaney and the “Doom Squad” continue as author Jim Malloy releases his latest novel tilted “Snake Bite”(published by Xlibris).
The year is 1966. Hells Angels, led by “Cutter,” are controlling all the movement of marijuana and meth through the Apache reservation at the Mexican border. El Serpiente, a one mean-ass Mexican connected to the cartel, has declared war on the Angels for control of the drug routes. Father Mike, a priest at the Apache mission, confronted the drug dealers and was jumped by six of “Snake’s” bad guys and ended up in the hospital.
Retired Sergeant Jack Delaney, nicknamed “Micky,” was merely visiting his brother to see how he was doing. After seeing his brother in the hospital and hearing the details from the Apache chief, it really pissed him off. Micky sends for the Doom Squad and declares war on “Snake” and “Cutter.” With no law and no rules, can they win against the meanest hombre west of the Rio Grande?
“My hard-boiled detective stories push the envelope to the worst in humanity,” the author states. “My stories involve an actual method of killing that occurred and I build a fictional story around it to develop an appreciation for good cop work with a twist so readers will want to read the next novel.”

About the Author
Jim Malloy, a police captain of 28 years, commanded two divisions and SWAT where he assigned and formed special teams of officers to solve various police problems. It was during this time that his future novels started percolating and taking shape. After graduating from the FBI academy, where he studied criminal profiling and serial murders, he created the infamous “Doom Squad” led by Sgt. Jack Delaney. Delaney’s squad of seven top cops hunt serial killers like a pack of hounds on a bunny. Zero pity. For 25 years, Malloy owned Centurion Information Association (CIA), a private investigative agency in San Diego where current cases provide fodder for more Delaney “Doom Squad” adventures. “Snake Bite” is the latest volume in the “Doom Squad” series.
