JOIN SGT. DELANEY AND THE “DOOM SQUAD” AS THEY TACKLE, ANOTHER WEIRD CASE OF MURDER.

Jim Malloy’s ‘Death Whispers’ offers a hard-boiled detective story with a twist

SAN DIEGO – Retired police captain and author Jim Malloy announces the release of “Death Whispers” (published by Xlibris), a hard-boiled detective story with a twist and the second of six novels in the “Doom Squad” series.

With his brother dead, it was his responsibility as head of the family to set things right. Gabriel, nicknamed the “Ghost”, was pure Cajun protecting his younger brother and sister since age 11 in the swamps of the bayou. Taught to survive by an old Choctaw Indian, he seeks justice for his brother with his bow and arrow.

Sergeant Jack Delaney, head of the “Doom Squad”, is stumped. This was a first. Why were these males, seemingly unrelated, showing up with arrows stuck in their heads?  Why is the CIA and FBI so interested and why should he be afraid?

“My stories involve an actual murder that occurred and I built a fictional story around it. These stories push the envelope to the worst of humanity,” Malloy says. When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, he answers, “I built an appreciation for good cop work and readers will be anxious to read the next novel.”
